Best donuts in town! Apple Fritters are incredible! Always fresh and of highest quality.

Best donuts anywhere, no question. I drove 45 minutes just to get their apple fritters. It was worth every minute. Of course you can't just get six apple fritters. Jelly, glazed, Bavarian cream, bear claws and so many more choices makes it almost impossible to not buy one of everything. These folks are truly the best donut shop in the Triangle. A best kept secret.

When I'm looking for a donut fix this is always my top pick. Service is fast and friendly, even when there is a line. It is sparse like a typical donut shop, but there currently isn't any seating. I recommend trying a variety of donuts, but especially the apple fritters. I'm not sure how they get the glaze so crisp, but it is amazingly crisp, and the bits of cooked apple mixed into the dough are perfection. I would go with 5 stars if there was seating and if they could manage to never run out of those delicious apple fritters.

The best donuts in Raleigh!!! Always fresh, great variety and priced nicely. Sometimes they sell out so call first if visiting late in the day. If somebody picks up a dozen (get 13 donuts) and brings into the office, consider it your lucky day!

This is my absolute favorite place for donuts. Great price & friendly service. I'm in & out in the morning if I stop by for a treat on my way to work. They have great cake donuts & yeast donuts. I enjoy the Crumb Cake & Sugar Raise

Donuts are always good. I got there late so my options were few. However, the ones I chose were delicious and fresh.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Bakers Dozen yet. I'm a doughnut snob...and very particular about raised yeast donuts vs. cake donuts. I find cake donuts to be too dense and sit heavy in my stomach. Duck Donuts seems to be everyone's go-to and the #1 recommendation when I asked around for the best donuts. Bakers Dozen! Amazing. Yes, they have cake donuts too but their yeast (raised) donuts are beyond! Many flavors to choose from -- glazed, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and maple frosted. Plus every now and then they have the same donuts but with sprinkles! Yum! The donuts are fluffy and practically melt in your mouth. The icing did not taste like dye like many of the chain donut shops. BUT, the biggest surprise for me was the APPLE FRITTER. OH. EM. GEE. I'm not a fan of any dessert that contains fruit. Especially hot/cooked fruit. The apple fritter was crunchy on the outside and perfectly light on the inside. Each time you take a bite, I'd get that perfect tiny pop of frying oil which says "FRESH". Even if you don't like apple fritters, try this! It turned me around and I'm now obsessed. They are one of their most popular items and they sell out quickly so make sure to go early.

I was looking so forward to visiting this place. I've lived here 3 years and would think about going then just would change my mind. I decided to go today because I have a friend visiting so I brought a half dozen home. Service was fast as there were only a few in the store. The donut cases look appealing and clean. I got a filled raspberry glazed, filled lemon glazed, Boston cream, chocolate glazed, strawberry glazed, and a chocolate frosted sour cream. Right off the bat, I was disappointed. The raspberry and lemon filling have an off putting flavor so I am assuming it's purchased elsewhere and not made in house. While the raised doughnuts are nice and soft, they really are too commercial for me. I can tell it's not a homemade doughnut like my momma would make. The sour cream doughnut was good but the frosting on top ruined it for me. It was way too sweet and I was wishing I had gotten plain ones. Overall, if you aren't spoiled like I am by enjoying homemade doughnuts all your life, you may love these. If I was craving a doughnut I'd go back and get a plain doughnut. Not a bad place at all, just me liking homemade flavors and not factory made fillings.

This is by far our favorite donut place in the area! Big fans of the vanilla cake and buttermilk donuts! They certainly know how to do it at Baker's Dozen. Never disappointed with an experience here. This place is a hole-in-the-wall place, right next to the laundromat...but trust me don't let the location deceive you. Once inside the staff and place is very inviting. SO SO SO many donut choices (though they will run out)! Love this place
